BONE AND BLOOD

The human body has a fascinating way of linking up different body parts. Through bone, blood, muscle and nerves, the human body is a complex unity of elements. This piece represents that in a very abstract way. 

I like working with trillion stones as it represents us (a trinity of forces) but in what way I'm not quite sure. I'm still studying this theory! I chose a vibrant red as it represents blood. The sphere moves around in a claw and this represents the linkage I explained earlier. The idea was taken from a knee ligament (a ball joint) and was made abstract and decorated with small clear stones. All these stones are flush set and the sphere satinated and finally rhodium plated. 

THE CONCEPTION NECKLACE

Made entirely of sterling silver this piece represents the very nature of us as human beings. It is a literal example of human male sperm and the female egg.

Each link is a sperm that links with the next and creates a downward connection towards the egg. There are two sperms highlighted on the egg which are decorated with 18ct yellow gold plating.

This inspiration came after my wife and I went through IVF. I'm proud to say we have beautiful twin girls and this piece is dedicated to them and my Wife.
